A few weeks ago, I posted a little information about getting involved in volunteering in your area with links to some super helpful volunteer databases, like Volunteermatch. I hope that you took a look around some of the websites and maybe found a fun way to spend some of your free time.
This time around, I decided to share some great resources for making a positive difference and getting paid to do it! No, I don't mean some scam...I just mean getting a job in the non-profit sector. There are tons and tons of charitable organizations in this country, and lots more corporations with an emphasis on social responsibility: so who's running all these great groups? You could be. I would love to work in non-profit administration (it's on my list of things), and for anyone who might feel the same, here are just a few resources if you don't know where to begin finding work at a non-profit.
These websites can help you learn about civic issues, keep up with non-profit news, and help you find a job. All links will open in a new tab/window.
