So it's past week 5 of Revolt Now Fitness and with it came Memorial Day and a family party and some pretty hefty self control. I am finding that with Revolt comes the daily challenge of resisting temptation, and I am seeing it pay off. My biggest problem before starting this program was constant snacking and not limiting myself at meals. Portion control is a huge facet of Revolt, and it makes a huge difference. I am noticing results.
If you're looking for a way to lose weight quickly, it's all about everything in moderation. Here are some tips I've learned from this second "detox week" on Revolt. A detox week can be used when you're feeling like you need a little kick-start, and can be substituted for the scheduled week at any point. Because of the holiday, this one was sort of a mandatory detox.
- Limit sugar.
- Use Truvia as a substitute if you must have it, or sugar-free gum if you're craving something to chew on.
- Kick carbs to the curb.
- If that phrase isn't trademarked by some gym bunny, I'm taking it. Anywho, this part has been tough for me because I could survive on pasta alone, but in limiting it, I feel lighter and less stuffy. Does that make sense? Less stuffy? Try no heavy carbs for a week and you'll get it.
- Stick to lean proteins.
- I am a meat eater at heart so I am always psyched to see steak on the menu. Stick to lean cuts of meat and go organic, hormone-free, grass-fed, cage-free, all that good stuff whenever you can.
- Stay active!
- Over vacation, I didn't limit my food intake at all, and there were buffets everywhere, and I only gained .7 pounds back. I think it's because I had been active prior and my metabolism is helping me along.
Weight Loss Overall: 7.5 lbs (damn vacation...but hey, not too bad!)

Bust: -1"
Thigh: -1"
Calf: 0
Neck: -.5"
Waist: -1.5"
