Revolt Now Fitness: Week 6

This week marked the first week of the June Uprising of Revolt Now Fitness, and the introduction of TABATAS. Tabatas suck...but that's because I'm lazy and they are kicking my ass into shape. It's basically an intense workout made of cardio intervals, 20 seconds of exercise then 10 seconds of rest times 8,  and short core circuits. Thank god for Nicole, who is the perkiest trainer ever. The workouts are challenging but she keeps you motivated and the music is a lot of fun.

Again this week was a detox week. Seemed a little weird after the Memorial Day diet week, but whatever. Once again, work events got in the way of my regular eating schedule, but if I was able to stick more strictly to it, I bet my results would be even greater.

What I must say about this diet is that you must grow to love spinach salads, and you will rapidly tire of chicken and eggs. But the beauty there is that every diet plan comes with a list of approved foods and easy substitutions, so I have sometimes swapped chicken for salmon in smaller portions and other trades. Also, don't ever buy steam ready brussel sprouts. They are horrid. Lesson learned, always go fresh.

But despite my bitching, I have reached the 10 lb mark! I'm so excited. I am sticking to the plan next week and making it work for me.
