Revolt Now Fitness: Week 7

Did you see my Week 6 Revolt Now Fitness post? Remember when I said tabatas suck? Well they still suck.

Tabatas = exhausting!
The second week of these beastly interval workouts brought with it entirely new challenges and exercises. I trust Nichole Huntsman, who designed Revolt Now Fitness, but these are proving too much for my workout mentality. When a workout stops being fun, I find it extremely hard to muster up enough motivation to make it through. So while I've made a promise to myself to keep trying and keep moving forward this month, I am glad for the video archive so that I can fall back on the giant circuit workouts.  I think as long as I am up and moving and sweating, I know I am making progress.

But despite this week's challenges, the meal plan was FANTASTIC. There was lots of variety and easy to pack meals to take to work. As a special treat, I've got a simple, healthy recipe to share with you here.


HOT MAMA CHICKEN
Serves 4-6
Ingredients:
2 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast
3 tbsp EVOO
14 oz can of diced tomatoes and green chiles
1/2 yellow onion, diced
2 tsp chili powder
1 tsp cumin
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Put ingredients in slow cooker in order shown above. Cook on low for 5 hours. Let cool and shred or eat as is. That's it! And it is so gooood.

Because I didn't stick very well to the workouts, I lost some progress this week. At any rate, here are my results for the program so far.
